Ukrainian Young Book Design Awards brought together more than 400 participants from 8 countries

Together with Hooga design studio, Osnovy Publishing has published many beautiful books, and in 2018 we held the first Ukrainian Young Book Design Awards. We managed to bring together more than 400 young designers from 8 countries.

Why?

We want to improve the level of design in Ukraine. To do this, we help young and talented designers express themselves and evolve. The competition was designed to be international.

We also want the Ukrainian Young Book Design Awards to be a community of designers without borders and boundaries in themes and styles. As part of the competition, we also organised portfolio reviews, exhibitions, and lectures.

The Ukrainian Young Book Design Awards ceremony became a place for networking for young and talented designers, Ukrainian publishers, and representatives of creative companies. We held two exhibitions, one in Kyiv at the Bursa hotel and the other in Lviv at the Sheptytsky Center. We also held a packed lecture by Dmytro Yarynych on book design.
