This isn't a traditional Christmas collection. It's a book about life — about the lessons we learn in childhood and carry with us into adulthood, about the enduring belief that good ultimately wins, and about the invisible thread that connects generations.

This is a book about our heritage and roots. It features the bird Potya, the Heavenly Egg, and the magic mirror. Folklorist Maria Kvitka has read hundreds of fairy tales to select those that resonate most with modern readers. These stories guide us gently back to ourselves.

The collection features stories from various regions of Ukraine and different centuries of our history.

A luminous journey through Ukraine’s folklore, Skyward Tree gathers timeless tales that reveal the nation’s resilient spirit and rich imagination. From Kyiv to distant regions, fearless heroes, wise elders, and daring princesses traverse landscapes steeped in legend. Culminating in the titular tale — a soaring metaphor for hope — this collection is a living testament to cultural memory and identity.

We will be happy to ship your order to you.
Orders within Ukraine are sent via the Nova Poshta postal service according to the carrier’s rates.
For every payment, customers receive a tracking number for their order via a notification in the Nova Poshta app or by email.
International orders can be placed on the website or arranged individually by writing to us at ilovebooks@osnovypublishing.com
The delivery cost paid on the website or via invoice does NOT include customs fees.

Please note!

From July 1, 2026, changes have come into effect for international shipments to the European Union.
The EU has abolished the €150 duty-free threshold for international parcels.
A new fixed customs fee has been introduced: €3 per tariff line item in the customs declaration (separate HS code / country of origin). For book orders on our website, this means a single €3 fee per entire order, since books fall under the same tariff code.
This fee is included in the customs value and affects the subsequent calculation of import VAT.
You will need to pay this duty regardless of the shipping cost. The customs fee is a separate charge collected during customs clearance and is not included in the cost of shipping or the goods themselves.
Each EU country may have its own specifics regarding the application of customs payments, so please check with the relevant sources (your country's customs authority) before placing your order.
