The Continuous Scene is a collection of artifacts dedicated to the final performance of the Berezil Theater in 1933, Maklena Hrasa, the last joint work of Les Kurbas, Mykola Kulish, and Vadym Meller. This collector's edition will include the texts of Kulish's play and its modern remake — the play Kvitka Budiak, written 80 years later by playwright Natalka Vorozhbyt on commission from Stanislav Moiseiev, who led the Franko Theatre immediately after Bohdan Stupka's death and staged Kvitka Budiak there in 2013. Vorozhbyt's text is published here for the first time.

The book features historical photos of both performances, sketches of Vadym Meller's costumes for Maklena Hrasa, models of Andriy Aleksandrov's sets, and sketches of Kateryna Markush's costumes for Kvitka Budiak. The central focus of the publication is an essay by Tetiana Rudenko, chief curator of the Museum of Theater, Music, and Cinema Arts of Ukraine, in which she discusses the history and context of the creation of both dramatic works.

The recurring theme of humiliation caused by poverty and the fight for human dignity in Maklena Hrasa takes on a new significance in Kvitka Budiak, created during the dark days of Yanukovych's presidency amid the events leading up to the Revolution of Dignity. Photographs of vernacular typography from the Euromaidan period in Kyiv's urban environment, captured by Sasha Bychenko, highlight the continuity of Ukrainian history and the unbreakable resistance to dictatorship and attacks on truth and justice.

The book's design includes costume sketches by Vadym Meller (1884–1962) for the play Maklena Hrasa, staged in 1933 at the Berezil Theater by director Les Kurbas (1887–1937), along with photographs of this play from the collection of the Museum of Theater, Music, and Cinema Arts of Ukraine.

It also features photographs of Valeria Landar from the play Kvitka Budiak, staged in 2013 at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater by director Stanislav Moiseiev; set design by Andriy Aleksandrovych and costumes by Kateryna Markush.
