Orthodox Chic

Orthodox Chic is the second edition in a series of visual studies on architecture and urban space. The authors—Oleksii Bykov, Oleksander Burlaka, and Sasha Kurmaz—document the phenomenon of post-Soviet religious architecture and reflect on its social, historical, and political contexts. The book features photographs of sacred buildings collected by the authors over several years, ranging from traditional churches to kiosks that serve sacred functions.

The author of the introductory text is Asia Bazdyreva, an art historian and co-author of the research practice Geocinema.
