Tira is a girl who loves music, nature, and her tiny kitten Vivaldi, with whom she plays all summer long. As autumn approaches, Tira feels a growing sense of anxiety. She doesn't want to go back to school because she can't find the words to speak, her peers avoid her, whisper about her in corners, and trip her up. This is a touching story about a little girl's fear of bullying at school and how kindness and attentiveness from just one person, along with the tenderness of a faithful pet, can bring about change.

Vivaldi is a heartfelt story by one of Norway's top contemporary authors, Helge Torvund. In his book, he describes the tough school life of a shy and introverted girl among mean peers. Tiri struggles at school. She is often bullied, harassed, and sometimes even assaulted. She doesn't speak to anyone at school, and her classmates ignore her as if she isn't there. Tira only feels safe at home. But then one day, her parents decided to get her a kitten. From that moment on, Tira's life begins to change.

Helge Torvund (born 1951) has won numerous literary awards, including the 1989 New Norwegian Literature Prize and the 2018 Dobloog Prize. She is the author of over twenty books, including poetry, essays, and children's literature. The book was illustrated by Mari Kanstad Johnsen, a popular artist in Norway and worldwide. It received second place in the 2012 “Most Beautiful Book in Norway” competition, and FlavorWire.com (New York) included it in its list of the twenty most beautiful books of all time.

Vivaldi begins a series of children's literature for parents and kids. The books in this new series stand out for their psychological depth and clearly present the common issues faced as we grow up and mature. These issues are tough but important topics to discuss at home: otherness and dealing with a sometimes-unkind environment, losing loved ones or a home, loneliness, and love. The series aims to give Ukrainian children and their parents psychological support, help them accept and overcome tough challenges, and protect their mental health during difficult times of war.
